ABOUT US

At Parilis Fitness, our 4,000 square foot functional fitness facility is more than just a gym—it's a vibrant community hub. Here, individuals of all ages and backgrounds come together under one roof, from energetic 9-year-olds to seasoned athletes in their 50s and beyond. Our inclusive environment celebrates diversity, welcoming stay-at-home parents, veterans, lawyers, teachers, first responders, and competitive athletes alike. Led by certified coaches, our group classes and individualized programs cater to every fitness level, ensuring each member receives personalized attention and support to achieve their goals.

  Cat Acosta

My name is Catarina but everyone calls me cat! I have been an athlete most of my life playing so many sports with soccer being my main sport. Playing sports helped my coaching when I first started. I now have over 10 years of coaching experience in a variety of ages and sports from youth to adults and everything in between. I enjoy being outside, being the best mom I can be for my son, and working out. I love everything Disney, and love to bake when I can!

Hello, I'm David Hernandez. I've been coaching since 2015 and completed the Crossfit Level 1 course. Specializing in weightlifting and strength training, I strive to create a cohesive and enjoyable environment during group classes, engaging well with community members. Fitness has been a constant in my life, and I appreciate the versatility of functional fitness. My passion for working out naturally led me to coaching, where meeting new people is the most enjoyable aspect for me. Alongside coaching, I've also worked with youth sports teams in the area. My wife, Sarah, and I are proud parents of two children.

Ricky is a Texas Native and has enjoyed functional fitness for 6 years now going on 7 in 2022. Ricky became certified in 2015 and has been coaching on and off as his time, schedule and physical health would allow. He first came to Parils Fitness with intentions to join while relocating to the area, with a quick sense of family cohesion he stuck around and has been coaching since. Ricky is a graduate from UT El Paso with bachelor's in finance and MBA in Project Management. He also enjoys playing tennis and swimming recreationally still since he stopped competing collegiately. Ricky is a Capital finance infrastructure planner for JEA full time. Him and his partner have been living in Las Cruces since his partner is a student at Burrell School of medicine, they also have a two year old Australian Sheppard.

Lorraine McFadin

Hi my name is Lorraine, I started cross training 7 years ago and never looked back. I am a mother of 2 boys and a full time baseball mom. I hope to encourage others to fall in love with fitness and the process of a healthy life. It’s not just a 6 month commitment, it’s a lifestyle. Do it for you and your children. When I’m not working out or at a baseball field, I love to garden and grow my own food. I also raise chickens. And remember even on days you don’t feel like working out, show up anyways, you wont regret it.

Hi everyone, I'm Rachel! Loving all things health and fitness, the gym is one of my favorite places to be. I have my CF-L1 and truly enjoy coaching and challenging all clients in a positive environment. I am a licensed Registered Dietitian with my Masters degree in Nutrition. I am busy working both as a Clinical Dietitian at the hospital and part time teaching at NMSU, but I look forward to seeing and working with everyone at the gym in my spare time.

Recognized by the Las Cruces Bulletin as the top personal trainer in town, I'm dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals. As a proud NMSU alum, I've built a supportive and inspiring fitness community since graduating in 2020. Whether it's leading intense HIIT workouts or providing personalized coaching, I'm committed to seeing my clients succeed. Outside the gym, I cherish quality time with my family, who continually motivate me. Hi everyone, I'm Bianca Birkenstock! Parilis fitness has allowed me to share my love for tennis and fitness through HIIT coaching. Drawing on my experience as a D1 college tennis player and my enthusiasm for HIIT to enhance athletic performance. My journey in fitness is deeply influenced by my family's passion for the field, with my sister and brother-in-law operating a gym in Thailand. I specialize in blending tennis coaching with dynamic fitness training, focusing on creating engaging, community-driven group sessions. My approach is about more than just sports; it's about building a fun and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. Coaching has allowed me to connect with a wide range of people, which I find incredibly rewarding. Beyond tennis, I've also ventured into coaching youth sports, further broadening my impact on young athletes. My personal life is filled with joy and energy, thanks to my amazing family.

Hi Las Cruces! I'm Tony Loya, and I've been passionately coaching group fitness classes for over 6 years. Every moment of this journey has been a joy, as it's allowed me to connect with incredible individuals who inspire me every day. As a business owner, the experience has been both humbling and exciting, presenting new challenges and endless opportunities for growth. My vision for Parilis is simple: to create a welcoming atmosphere where anyone can thrive in a supportive environment, emerging as a stronger, happier version of themselves. Outside of Parilis, I'm fueled by my passion for music, where I play as a drummer in a cover band. I also cherish time spent with family and friends and exploring new places through travel. I look forward to seeing you in one of our fitness classes!
